Leila, Ted, Wendy, ~ 03

{Wendy’s Bungalow ~ 2}
``Wendy: How are we going to handle Ted? He will have to take us to our spot, but let’s use the alternative site? Thus we can keep our usual portal site, secret. ``Leila: Good idea. Neither is there anything in the local papers, so perhaps people are still on holiday. It is ironic though, he will not be able to tell anyone. ``Wendy: The problem is that when he sees us going into a real life Saucer, and disappearing off at high speed, he may get cold feet and want to change his mind. ``Leila: That is a chance, we will have to take.

``Wendy: The advantage we have is that we can walk down the track bed of the old railway line to our other spot, which is less than a kilometre away. ``Leila: So how close is the new portal site to the football ground? ``Wendy: It is all very overgrown, and I had trouble getting through, so we should be alright. The pathway to the stadium is camouflaged by the trees, and it is all fenced off, so you can hardly see the floodlights, and by midnight, they should be turned off. ``Leila: As long as Ted drops us off, we should be okay.

``Wendy: He will moan that he is missing his beauty sleep, but I will take you to meet him shortly. ``Leila: Neither will he need to know about our crystal necklaces. ``Wendy: Definitely not. ``Leila: The coding for our Morse emergency signals is eight dots to divert, and eight dashes to land. ``Wendy: Agreed. ``Leila: Ted will receive it, but he will not know, in this case what it means. ``Wendy: Excellent idea.

``Leila: Therefore, If there is anything suspicious, we can call the Saucer back with eight dashes and walk over to our other landing site, and disappear Home, for good. ``Wendy: We can get our Captain to hover for a while, before landing, so he can do some radar checks. ``Leila: We can tell Ted, that we are landing at a certain time, and then come down an hour earlier, walk back along the track, so we are waiting for him. ``Wendy: We will also be tracked by the Saucer, so our Captain will know the exact spot, on where to land!

{Ted’s Bungalow ~ 3}
``Wendy: Let's see if he is in. --- [knock, knock] Hello Ted, this is my friend, Leila. ``Ted: Hello and nice to meet you. ``Wendy: I hope you are still up to helping us with our adventure? ``Ted: Yea, but I don’t want to get involved. ``Wendy: That’s fine with us, as long as you can do the two courtesy car runs, which is in some ways a far safer option. ``Leila: So, you have not got cold feet? ``Ted: No, only shell shocked. ``Leila: In that case, are you ready for a bit of excitement? ``Ted: Why? What are you planning now? ``Wendy: Actually it is all booked, and they are coming tonight to pick us up. ``Leila: You will not miss much of your beauty sleep and you can a have lie in, in the morning. ``Ted: Ha, ha. Whereas, you want me to do this run tonight? ``Leila: Yes please, around midnight. So please leave our radio on. ``Ted: So you want me, to drop you off? ``Leila: Yes please Ted. That is all we need you to do.

``Wendy: It is when we come back your assistance will be needed. ``Ted: So when will that be? ``Wendy: We are not sure yet, but about three weeks time. ``Ted: Okay, I’ll do it this time, but I’m not promising in the future. ``Wendy: Fine with us. All we will have are two trolleys, which will go in your boot. I will give you a ring, once I have a confirmation time, but you may be able to work it out from the Morse code yourself. ``Leila: We have to make the final preparations, so we have to go for now. Bye. ``Ted: Bye Girls.

``Wendy: I will have to sit down and work this Morse out, and get it off as we only have a few hours. So will you please make the tea and a ham sandwich? ``Leila: Sure. ---``Wendy: Thanks. --- ``Leila: So Scotty will transmit it back to the Saucer? ``Wendy: This lot yes, and it will take about an hour each way. ``Leila: So Scotty has a remote unit at home? ``Wendy: Absolutely --- ``Leila: It is time to go, so are you ready? ``Wendy: Sure, let’s hope Ted is. ``Leila: Hi Ted, are you ready please?
