Alien Escapade • Episode 939 - The Setting Up: Auntie, Bois, Cables, Presenter, Scotty, Secretary, Tetra, Vanna, Zola, 09 {Network 10 HQ ~ 2} - [On Visual] ``Bois: Zaffre all for coming to this meeting and for Auntie who is on a visual linkup from Algol. Firstly it has been unanimously approved and we accept, setting up an Office Complex on Algol. ``Auntie: I have ground floor office space available and here are some fotos. It also has accommodation facilities on the first floor. Therefore we are willing to rent that to you for ¢200 per week. ``Bois: Approved. ``Presenter: We will need to extend your existing cables into our office, and we can then set up a public service. However we need someone there most of time as we cannot be in two worlds at the same time ``Auntie: Our Chauffeur will be happy to do that, but you will have to pay him. ``Bois: Agreed. ``Tetra: The extension of the existing cable would only be for a temporary backup solution, and you will need your own direct feed into Sat HQ owing to a limitation of bandwidth. ``Cables: Whilst we are in Algol we can do the lot in one go. ``Vanna: There will be a logistical problem, but we will keep the costs of travel down, as there will be regular trips. ``Bois: Scotty is ordering up computers and all other equipment we need, but we will have to use the S182a as it too big to go in Cosmo. ``Vanna: Ah! But it will all go in the Eagle. ``Bois: Okay, agreed. ``Scotty: If I am helping you to erect equipment as well as getting the computers installed, then I need to stay with you for 2 qefs. I can help cables with all the testing, as they will need a third Being. ``Presenter: The other thing Auntie, is that we need a strong room which we can screen. ``Auntie. I will get that sorted out. ``Zola: The accommodation needs to be split into two parts, one for Cats and one for Bears. ``Auntie: I will make arrangements. I think there is an attic, which can be converted. ``Vanna: We will get you to Algol in less a than qef, and you can come back in Cosmo two qefs later. We can sort out the computer security with Tetra and get the final linkup working. However we all need to be paid, so I suggest you work out something sensible, and come back with your proposals. ``Bois: I will get our Secretary to come up with the something sensible, but she has been quiet. ``Secretary: I am taking notes. The wages bill will initially be high, and transport costs are usually ¢5,000 per seat for 5 Beings, plus accommodation for Cables in a Hotel. ``Vanna: It is the fuel costs which kills it every time, but I will do the initial set up runs for ¢20K all in! ``Auntie: That is a good deal. Labour costs for Scotty will be ¢500; Tetra, ¢250. Chauffeur's bill will be ongoing at ¢120 per week. And your Cables bill? ``Cables: That will be ¢10K all in, and you pay our expenses. ``Secretary: Zarfs. You will have to register as a business in Algol. Any other questions or submissions? ``Vanna: Zaa. Franchise Agreement! There will be a ¢10K per year fee, on top of your Cassiopeian fee, which goes direct to the Oligarchy, but is only payable once you have started broadcasting. ``Secretary: Rented space into the Algol Sat HQ will have to be added in. ``Vanna: Once you have paid the installation costs, there will be no additional costs for rental. ``Bois: I think we can conclude this meeting. My secretary will send you all a full copy of what we have agreed. If there are any discrepancies or disagreements we will hold another meeting, but if qaa response within two qefs, everything will be implemented.
