Alien Escapade º Episode 0493 - The adventure 08: Auntie, Captain, Chauffer, Kirin, Qualla, Tetra, Vanna, ~ 07 {Algol – Hotel Conference Room ~ 11} ``Captain: How come you have all this technology, but no one hears from you? ``Auntie: Your link is on a different satellite, and we only communicate with Planet Q, because it has been blocked since the war. The other problem is that we had a lot of sabotage, and it needs repairing. ``Captain: Can we do that for you, as we have the expertise here? ``Auntie: Zaa quin. Our Chauffer, will take you anywhere you need to go. ``Captain: Qualla, Vanna, Kirin, Tetra, bring your laptops as we have work to do. ``Tetra: Malar, stay here with Ming, quin. {Old Satellite Uplink Site ~ 5} ``Captain, it is in a bad way, and it is very old and before my time, so Vanna it is over to you. ``Vanna: The whole lot, is dead. **`**! ``Chauffer: Zaa, at once. ``Vanna: I have explained we need test instruments and a couple of electronic engineers to help repair it. So she has gone to get us some help. ``Qualla: Everything is so filthy. ``Vanna: When our Chauffer comes back, I will get that arranged. ``Tetra: The solar light cells need to be realigned, as the sun is not reflecting onto them. ``Vanna: Zarfs, that we can do when we have had power restored. ``Tetra: Could they have deliberately been moved, to stop it from being used? -|- ``Chauffer: **`**! ``Vanna: Zarfs. : **`**! ``Chauffer: Zaa. ``Kirin: These batteries are dead, and need changing. ``Vanna: Okay. **`**! We need 10 new batteries, of tank-thorium type? ``Chauffer: Zaa. ``Tetra: I can see a number of Beings, coming up the pathway. In fact they are a part of our clan. ``Chauffer: One engineer and cleaners, at your service. ``Vanna: **`**! I have told them to get all relays cleaned up and oiled and to check it all out mechanically. ``Tetra: That should keep them busy for a while, as I cannot get anything on my laptop. ``Vanna: You are on the wrong frequency band. Try the lowest one or see if there is a compatible option for an older system. ``Tetra: Zarfs sis, I have found it, but I am not getting much signal. ``Vanna: Think Tetra, we are not transmitting yet. ``Tetra: Okay, but I need a Sexton. ``Chauffer: **`**! Batteries are coming in now. ``Vanna: Sexton and Croak Beans? **`**! ``Chauffer: Zaa. ``Vanna: Zaa. She will try and get us one. So let us all have a sit down for a while. --- ``Chauffer: **`**! ``Vanna: Zaa. We have drinks. ``Qualla: I have never known such good service. ``Captain: It would be hard to beat. ``Kirin: I will wind Ming up, on this one. ``Vanna: Take it easy on her, as she has only just qualified. ``Kirin: Okay, if I must. ``Chauffer: **`**! ``Vanna: It is all done, so Tetra, start switching on in rotation, as it is in roman numerals. ``Qualla: Some of the gauges have started to read. ``Vanna: Chauffer **`**! Switch cleaner to those levers, but be careful as they are live! ``Chauffer: Zaa. ``Qualla: They are reading 35%. ``Vanna: Give them a chance, as they have not bee used for hundreds of years. ``Tetra: It is like a museum, coming back to life. ``Kirin: Someone is cleaning the windows. ``Vanna: Qualla, help me to look for a gauge which has something like a small line and one with a tiny cross sign. ``Tetra: I think it is over here! ``Vanna: You win. What is the signal attitude on your laptop? ``Tetra: 059º. ``Vanna: We will need a motor or something to move it. **`**! ``Chauffer: Zaa. I have told our Chauffeur to get the engineer to switch everything on, but be careful of sparks. ``Kirin: I saw the lighting flickering. ``Qualla: The gauges are now reading 50%. ``Vanna: Once we can realign the solar light cells we can start recharging these batteries, as we will end up draining them again. ``Kirin: We have lighting. ``Tetra: Wow, this is interesting and different. ``Vanna: Captain, you are the strongest, so pull that lever down, but be quick and firm and do not fear it, although it will smoke and spark. ``Captain: Okay, here goes [Clonk, splatter, sparks] ``Vanna: Good job. ``Tetra: The instrument lights have come on. ``Vanna: That is what I need. Now will this turn. ``Kirin: I can hear a groaning sound. ``Tetra: More. ``Vanna: It is very old technology which was built to last, but it very slow to your standards.
