Alien Escapade ººº Episode 0031 - The Tan of the Suns: Leila, Wendy, ~ 02 {Leila’s Trullo ~ 2} ``Wendy: I have just had a thought, but you may hate me, for it! ``Leila: Go on girl I’m listening! ``Wendy: We could nip off home now and come back in a weeks time, when it is cooler? ``Leila: Ask Scotty? ``Wendy: Standby! No response! ``Leila: Can you try the Captain? ``Wendy: I will try! --- Standby! --- Possible. The problem is we need funding and approval. ``Leila: Anyway, we are pushing our luck too far, and things don’t need to happen that quick up here. ``Wendy: Agreed. Let’s forget it, and wait for Qualla. ``Leila: My parents will not recognize us, when we do go home, with our dark brown tans. ``Wendy: Mark and Sandy will be jealous, as we see all of each other. ``Leila: I want to try it! Can I come? ``Wendy: Sure, you are more than welcome, and the water should be reasonably warm; as it has been a bit better recently. ``Leila: Are we staying up, as it is still 35ºC? ``Wendy: Sure. How about a game of scrabble if you can cope? ``Leila: Sure. ``Wendy: If we get tired, we will just stop and crash-out. ``Leila: okay. ``Wendy: It may reach 56ºC tomorrow, which is hotter than Africa and may be the highest on record. ``Leila: Wow! ``Wendy: I think Ted will do it, at least temporarily so shall we try to take someone back with us? ``Leila: I think we’d be better off taking a Cat than a Bear, as there is not much room in the Saucer. ``Wendy: In principle I agree, otherwise we need some form of partition, which should be available. ``Leila: The only problem is that we cannot arrange anything until we are back. ``Wendy: So as usual, we have to learn to wait! ``Leila: If Ted is a trustworthy person, we could leave him with another radio, so he can be waiting for us! ``Wendy: Sure, that sounds a better plan. ``Leila: Anyway, we are not going home at this rate. [Playing Scrabble] ``Leila: Hey! Look at this, ‘wait’ so total score is 8 for a double letter, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 for = ‘waiter’. ``Wendy: Well done girl. ``Leila: It must be telling us something! ``Wendy: I Agree. ``Leila: It does appear to be holiday time up here, and it is so quiet. ``Wendy: It is like fiesta time in Italy, but in days. ``Leila: In that case, let’s have a few days to ourselves, as we won’t be bothered. ``Wendy: What a lovely idea. [Next Day] ``Leila: I am off to walk the wood; it says it is 52ºC out there, so I leave you to do the rest. ``Wendy: You are so kind! ``Leila: I know I am. ``Wendy: What are we having for lunch today? ``Leila: Cooked Ice Cream! ``Wendy: Ha, ha. Very clever, so something light? ``Leila: Yea, but no more salads. ``Wendy: Okay, I will be back in an hour. ``Leila: Me too, and behave yourself. ``Wendy: Cheeky, cheeks. ``Leila: Who’s? ``Wendy: It is certainly 52ºC out there! ``Leila: It sure is! ``Wendy: Neither, are you complaining about the heat! ``Leila: No point, as I will only get a lecture from you. ``Wendy: Very wise, but I can see you have mastered the breathing at last. ``Leila: You can give me the ‘kiss of life’ when I drop. ``Wendy: Any time dear. ``Leila: That is what I like about you! You are so kind! ``Wendy: I thought that was our philosophy! ``Leila: As long as I get a ‘sun-tanned, and not a tanning’. ``Wendy: Only if needed. ``Leila: Surely, they must have a swimming pool. ``Wendy: Good point, but why has no one suggested it? ``Leila: I don’t think they can like water. ``Wendy: lunch is ready, although I do not know what it is, but it tastes fishy and it is like sweet potato with peppers. --- ``Leila: It tastes nice. --- ``Wendy: Here’s your ice cream cake, straight out of the oven. So, eat it up before it gets cold! ``Leila: Ha, ha. Shall we have another game of Scrabble, as I do not want another beating? ``Wendy: Sure, but it does depend on the tiles as well! ``Leila: That is unless you have any better suggestions, as I am not in the mood for much else. ``Wendy: Sure, it can all wait!
